SEFFNER – Hillsborough deputies are investigating the death of a man who was struck by a train Saturday.

The accident happened along Martin Luther King Boulevard near Parsons Road around 7PM. Deputies say a white male was laying in the tracks, and the CSX train engineer was unable to stop in time.

No further details have been released.

HUDSON – The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a serious crash involving juveniles riding an ATV in Pasco County.

The crash happened just before 2AM Saturday on Bolton Avenue near Hicks Road. A pickup truck collided with an ATV with 4 juveniles on board. All of the juveniles suffered serious injuries and were flown to area hospitals. The driver of the pickup fled the scene on foot.

Investigators are trying to determine what caused the crash, no official statements have been released.

ODESSA – The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal crash in Odessa.

The accident occurred Friday afternoon on Tarpon Springs Road near Wayne Road. Two vehicles collided, killing the sole driver in a sedan. Two people in a van involved had to be extricated from the wreckage. One of them was flown to St. Joesph’s Hospital in Tampa.

As of 4:17pm, Tarpon Springs Road remains closed.

NEW PORT RICHEY – The New Port Richey Police Department is investigating a fatal accident involving a garbage truck.

The incident occurred just before midnight Thursday at J.D. Parker & Son’s at 6725 US Highway 19. A male was apparently ran over by a company truck in the rear parking area, and was pronounced dead on scene.

No further information was released and the investigation continues.

CLEARWATER – The Clearwater Police Department along with the Pinellas County Major Accident Investigation Team are investigating a traffic death.

Just before midnight, a single southbound vehicle left the roadway and struck a pole on US Highway 19 between Enterprise Road and Sunset Point Road. The driver was pronounced dead on scene.

The cause of the crash is under investigation, the identity of the victim has not been released.
