TAMPA  – Hillsborough County deputies are investigating a double shooting in the Town N Country area.

Around 9:30 Friday night, neighbors called 911 after hearing gun shots on Gateway Drive, off of Halifax Drive. Deputies went to the address of 5617 Gateway Drive, where they forced entry and found two adults, a male and female, with gunshot wounds.

Deputies say 65-year-old Jerry Ahedo was shot by his daughter, 34-year-old Lisa Nelson. Nelson then shot herself in the chest. Both were rushed to St. Joesph’s Hospital where they underwent surgery, and were last reported in critical condition.

The investigation continues.
