TAMPA – Detectives are investigating a Friday night homicide in Tampa after a man ran over another, killing him.

The incident happened in the 4000 block of West Hillsborough Avenue around 7:00. Police say 41-year-old William White Jr of Tampa intentionally ran over a pedestrian during a dispute. White fled the scene in his red Thunderbird while a witness followed and called police. White pulled over and was later arrested for 1st degree murder.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene and has not been identified at this time.
