DAVENPORT – Deputies are investigating an incident in north eastern Polk County that left a father with serious burns Sunday night.

Deputies responded 127 King George Drive, inside a gated community in Davenport in reference to a son who set his father on fire. The father was flown to Orlando Regional Medical Center, where his condition is unknown at this time. The son fled the scene on foot, and may have suffered burns as well. Deputies attempted tracking the suspect via canine. Vehicles leaving the area were also checked.

No official information has been released, the investigation continues.
