TAMPA – Deputies are investigating an early morning crash that sent at least one man to the hospital.
The crash happened Saturday on Ehrlich Road near Pennington Road in Hillsborough County. It appears a single SUV left the roadway and turned onto its side in a ditch.
At least one man was extricated from the crash with the jaws of life. He was transported to a bay area hospital where per scanner traffic, he was listed in critical condition.
No official information has been released.
Purchase & Download - Scene Video (0)BRANDON – A man in Hillsborough County suffered serious injuries after a meth lab explosion. It happened in the 800 block of Center Avenue in Brandon.
Deputies say the man was cooking methamphetamine inside a large shed when the chemicals ignited. He suffered serious burns and was airlifted to Tampa General Hospital.
HazMat crews and federal investigators responded to mitigate the scene and determine how large the meth operation is.
The man was not identified.
SEFFNER – Hillsborough County deputies are investigating a possible double homicide in Seffner.
The bodies of 24-year-old Joshua Deas and 34-year-old Kenneth Simmons were found dead in a mobile home in the 1000 block of Parsons Avenue. Deputies say both men suffered blunt force trauma.
Both men reside at the home. Per scanner traffic, deputies are looking for a missing 1998 Isuzu Rodeo, Florida Tag 967YYS.
No further information has been released.

It happened Sunday night on Waters Avenue at Ola Avenue. Police say for unknown reasons, a white Jeep Grand Cherokee left the roadway and struck a red sedan in the oncoming lanes.
A woman in her late 20′s was in the red sedan was pronounced dead at the scene. A male occupant also in the sedan was transported to St. Joesph’s Hospital as a trauma alert. A pregnant female and another occupant in the Jeep were also transported.
Multiple witnesses saw a silver pickup driving reckless in the area when the crash occurred, however police say those reports are unconfirmed.

The incident happened late Thursday night in the 200 block of Faithway Drive in Brandon. Suddenly, the floor in two rooms in the house started sinking and the residents called 911.
One man became trapped in the 15 foot deep sinkhole. His brother attempted a rescue but a Hillsborough County Sheriff’s deputy pulled him to safety so he didn’t fall into the sinkhole as well.
Crews we spoke to on scene say it’s common to see sinkholes open in yards and streets, but one opening up under a house and resulting in a death is hard to recall.
Rescue crews arrived and used cameras, microphones and sonar devices to pick up any indication that the victim may be alive in the dirt and rubble. So far, nothing has turned up.
Investigators say the house is condemned and the will not be able to search again until daylight.
