TAMPA – A security guard was rushed to the hospital Sunday night after a shooting inside an apartment complex in Tampa.
The call came in around 1opm at the Royal Oaks Apartments on Hanley Road. The guard for CSCP Security suffered a gunshot wound to the chest and taken to a Tampa area hospital.
Per scanner traffic, deputies are looking for two men who fled the scene on foot. Deputies are interviewing possible witnesses and looking through surveillance video near the scene.
No official statement has been released at this time.
TAMPA – The Tampa Police Department is investigating a shooting in West Tampa Friday night.
Officers responded to the report of shots being fired in the area of Steinbrenner Field. A few minutes later, an officer working at a Tampa area hospital reported a shooting victim being dropped off by civilians.
Police believe the shooting occurred along Dr. Martin Luther King Boulevard between Dale Mabry Highway and Church Street. MLK was blocked off while crime scene technicians and officers processed the scene.
The condition of the victim is unknown. No official information has been released at this time.
TAMPA – A man was arrested Tuesday night after he collided with another vehicle, then a sheriff’s cruiser.
It happened on Webb Road just north of Hillsborough Avenue. A dark colored Chrysler Sebring heading south on Webb collided with a Toyota Echo and kept driving.
A Hillsborough County deputy assigned to the District III Street Crimes Unit was nearby. His Dodge Charger was rammed by the suspect multiple times according to deputies.
Deputies were able to remove the driver from the vehicle and detain him. Deputies performed a sobriety test on the driver an placed him under arrest. No injuries were reported.

TAMPA – Several funnel clouds were spotted Tuesday afternoon in Tampa Bay, triggering warnings.
This cloud was spotted around 4:15 just southeast of the Gandy Bridge on the St. Petersburg side. A tornado warning was issued for Hillsborough County after a waterspout had went ashore near MacDill. No damage was reported.
LARGO – At least two men have been arrested by federal agents in Largo Monday morning.
The arrest occurred in the 1600 block of South Missouri Avenue in Largo just before 11AM. An off duty TBMG photojournalist captured the arrest conducted by ATF agents and Largo Police.
It’s unknown why the men were taken into custody as no information could be obtained at the scene.
